The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox open a four game set tonight. This is the first meeting between the two AL East rivals and it should be a ton of fun. Toronto comes into this game after taking two of three games at home against the Seattle Mariners. They have been one of the better teams in the American League to start the season and will looking to add to their solid record thus far. As for the Red Sox, they come into this series after taking two of three games from the Cleveland Guardians at home. Boston has come on strong of late after a very slow start to the season. The teams are all set for a loaded matchup that surely will give some fireworks to start.

What to Watch:

The x-factor in this game will be the starting pitching. Now that sounds cliché but within this matchup, it’s the truth. Both Jose Berrios and Corey Kluber have struggled to start the season so whichever can limit the damage, will give their team a better chance of winning. Berrios has been the wild card for the Blue Jays to start the year. In his last three outings, he has looked good but his first two were pretty shaky. Toronto needs the latter instead of the former from Berrios today.

As for Kluber, he had a good start against the Baltimore Orioles last time out but two starts ago was roughed up by the Minnesota Twins. He has been the tale of two pitchers and will need to keep him control in this one. Kluber faces a powerful Blue Jays lineup so making sure he keeps his pitch count down will be key as the game goes on.

I like the Blue Jays to take this game today with Berrios doing enough to help his team get the victory.
