Seattle Seahawks Game-By-Game 2023 Schedule Prediction

The Seattle Seahawks shocked a lot of people last year by going 9-8 and making the playoffs. Seattle was predicted to be one of the worst teams in the league after trading Russell Wilson and deciding to go with Geno Smith at quarterback. Geno Smith showed everyone why he was a highly thought of prospect when drafted and what he can do at quarterback. With the San Francisco 49ers in their division, winning the NFC West is going to be tough for the Seahawks, but the playoffs should still be in their sights. With the NFL schedule now released, let’s take a look at how we think the Seahawks will do this year.

9/10 vs. Las Angeles Rams: Win

The Rams are just a year removed from winning the Super Bowl, but things really went wrong for them last season. Getting Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp back from injury should help the offense, but the Seahawks are just a better team. Seattle beats Los Angeles 24-17.

9/17 @ Detroit Lions: Loss

The Lions are one of the darling teams coming into this season. A lot of people see them winning the NFC North. Despite not having Jameson Williams for the first six games, I think the Lions squeak this one out at home in a close game. Seattle will put up points, but that Lions offense is also very explosive. Detroit wins 34-31.

9/24 vs Carolina Panthers: Win

The Carolina Panthers are a team to watch for this year, but with rumors that they might not start Bryce Young to begin the season, that pushes this game much more to Seattle. Carolina has a very good defense, but I think Seattle scores enough to out gun Andy Dalton if Young doesn’t start. Seattle wins 21-14.

10/2 at New York Giants: Win

I think the Giants regress this year. Daniel Jones isn’t a good quarterback and despite adding Jalin Hyatt, they still don’t have much in the way of weapons. Seattle should be able to throw the ball on that defense and put up points. Seattle wins this one 27-17.

10/15 @ Cincinnati Bengals: Loss

The Bengals are one of the best teams in football. They have made the AFC Championship Game in back-to-back years and have one of the best passing attacks in football. Add in an underrated defense, and Seattle just doesn’t have enough to pull this one off. They keep it close for a while, but Cincinnati pulls away in the end. The Bengals win 34-24.

10/22 vs Arizona Cardinals: Win

Arizona has a really good chance of being the worst team in football. If Kyler Murray goes on the PUP, this is one of the first games he could return. Even if he is able to return, there will likely be rust and this is just a bad roster. Seattle wins this one, going away 31-14.

10/29 vs Cleveland Browns: Win

The Browns, on paper, should be one of the better teams in the NFL. However, since coming back from suspension, Deshaun Watson hasn’t looked like Watson from Houston. Cleveland still has a very good roster, but so does Seattle. Seattle wins a close one 27-24.

11/5 @ Baltimore Ravens: Loss

The Ravens should be a very good team this year now that we know Lamar Jackson will be suiting up for them. They went out and got him multiple weapons in Odell Beckham Jr and Zay Flowers. The Ravens hope to dodge the injury big this year and if they do, they win this game. Baltimore wins 31-27.

11/12 vs Washington Commanders: Win

I like what the Commanders are building there, but I think right now Seattle is the better team. Washington needs Chase Young to stay healthy and play like he did early in his career again, and they look like they will have two rookies starting in their secondary. Washington keeps this one close, but Seattle wins 28-24.

11/19 @ Las Angeles Rams: Win

As I stated in the first game of the season, I expect the Rams to be better than last year, but still not good. They lost a lot of players on that team to trades, Jalen Ramsey, or free agency. This is going to be a down year for the Rams, and Seattle sweeps them. Seattle wins 27-21.

11/23 vs San Francisco 49ers: Loss

This is the first game in a really tough four game stretch for the Seahawks. The 49ers are one of the two favorites in the NFC and the favorite in the NFC West. We don’t know who will be playing quarterback for them, but they have shown it doesn’t really matter. The 49ers win this one 24-10.

11/30 @ Dallas Cowboys: Loss

This game was really a toss up for me. I could see Seattle winning this game, but the Cowboys have made some good moves this year and I do like their overall roster. The pass rush for the Cowboys is one of the best in the league and even though Seattle has a really good pair of tackles, I think the pass rush is the difference in this game. Dallas wins 27-24.

12/10 @ San Francisco 49ers: Loss

I really hate to have the 49ers sweep Seattle, but this San Francisco team is just that good. Their roster is loaded, and I think they are able to pull the sweep off. The 49ers run game is one of the best in the league, and with the weapons they have in the passing game, they can make any quarterback look good. Seattle puts up more of a fight this time, but San Francisco still wins 27-24.

12/17 vs Philadelphia Eagles: Loss

The last of this brutal four game stretch, the Seahawks face the reigning NFC Champions. The Eagle only got better this offseason and they should be the favorites to make it back to the Super Bowl. Jalen Hurts should continue to get better, they have tons of weapons on offense, and they may have the best trenches in the league. Philadelphia wins 31-17.

12/24 @ Tennessee Titans: Win

The Titans are a team that will be there with Arizona as one of the worst teams in football. Ryan Tannehill is getting older and didn’t play well last year when healthy. Derrick Henry is aging and they don’t have many other weapons on offense. Their offensive line is a big question mark as well. Seattle wins this one 27-10.

12/31 vs Pittsburgh Steelers: Win

The Pittsburgh Steelers overachieved last year by winning nine games. Their defense really carried them, and it will have to again this year. Kenny Pickett showed flashes, but still doesn’t look like a long-term starter, and their offense really struggled last year. Seattle wins this one 17-7.

TBD @ Arizona Cardinals: Win

Even though Kyler Murray should be back for this game and have some snaps under his belt, this is still a very bad team. The roster is one of the worst in the NFL, and they aren’t going to win very many games at all. Seattle should be able to do whatever they want on offense. Seattle wins 34-21.

Seattle will go 10-7 and, if not for a brutal four game stretch in the middle of the season, might win 11 games. Seattle makes another playoff trip and Geno Smith continues to look like a top 10 quarterback in the NFL. Pete Carroll continues to show why he is a very good coach, and this offense will be a ton of fun to watch. Everyone, get ready for some fun Seattle football.
