The 2023 NFL Draft has come and gone, and rookies now have their teams. With that, some landing spots for certain running backs has had an impact on either their dynasty ranking or other running backs on the team. There are three specific running back scenarios that are on the downward trend, full analysis for each running back is given in-depth in the TWSN YouTube video, link below.
Travis Etienne- Jacksonville Jaguars – KTC RB7
Israel Abanikanda- New York Jets – KTC RB55
After being projected to receiver day two draft capital, Abanikanda instead goes on day three in the fifth round, and in arguably one of the worst landing spots. Breece Hall will be coming back from injury, and there is also Zonovan Knight and Michael Carter also in the room. With running backs in a committee like this to begin with, draft capital is everything, Carter was taken earlier, and while Knight was a UDFA he played well enough last year to potentially beat out Abanikanda on the depth chart. Take this factor into consideration, and Abanikanda is falling in the rankings after landing on the Jets.
Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet – KTC RB8 and RB23
