The Los Angeles Angels and St. Louis Cardinals continue their three game series today. The start time for this one is a bit earlier than the others and the two teams will be ready for the fight. Los Angeles took game one of this series by a score of 5-1 and before then, they dropped two of three games to the Milwaukee Brewers. The Cardinals come in after getting swept at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers in their previous series so they will be looking to try and right the ship. Between the two teams, they are both looking for some consistent play and we should be in for a good matchup.

What to Watch:
The biggest factor for the Angels in this one will be how starter Griffin Canning performs today. He has been up and down to start the season but has showcased some strong skills as well. If he can limit the damage from the Cardinals offense then it could be a good day for him. However, he is prone to giving up runs and needs to figure things out early. Canning will need to settle into a good rhythm early if he wants to keep the game competitive at all.
Los Angeles should be able to put up runs in this one. They have a strong lineup up and down, from Mike Trout to Shohei Ohtani. The Angels offense has been inconsistent but has the potential to be really great.

I like the Angels in this game today as Canning does just enough to allow the offense to grab the win.
