We have an American League showdown tonight as the Los Angeles Angels and the Cleveland Guardians are ready to start a three game series. Both teams come in looking for some momentum and while the season is still early on, it can never hurt to pill up the wins. In their last series, the Angels dropped two of three to the Houston Astros so this is a chance for a fresh start for them. As for the Guardians, they are coming off a series where they dropped two of three to the Detroit Tigers. So both sides will be looking to regain form and get back on track in this one. This has the all the makings of a fun and entertaining series between two teams in the American League that want to make some noise as the season goes on.

What to Watch:

Within this game, the Angels will be looking to Tyler Anderson. He has been decent to start the season but will need a strong performance here today to get the win. If he can settle into a nice rhythm early on, it could really help him keep his pitch count down and limit any damage from the Cleveland offense. They need Anderson to give them a chance with one of his dominant starts and if he can do that, the Angels should be in position to take the game.

As for the Guardians, they come in looking to Logan Allen in this game. In this game, the Guardians will have to deal with the power of the Angels offense so Allen needs to make sure he’s on point. If he can start fast then the crowd may be able to get behind the Guardians here. They need Allen to showcase a good start here if they want to get the win at home.
