As for the Royals, they came in after dropping two of three to the Oakland Athletics and would love nothing more than to take this series. Both sides have struggled to start the season but matchups like this can determine seeding within their own division. Neither one looks to be a playoff team at this time but bragging rights will be on the line here.

So far through the first few games of the series, offense has carried the day here. Both of these teams struggle to pitch effectively, thus we should be looking for more of the same today. Chicago and Kansas City sit towards the bottom of their respective division and both have gotten off to slow starts, record wise. But there is still plenty of time left in the season for a turnaround and it could start today.

It just takes one game to get things going in baseball and maybe today is the day. Both have good, young players across the roster and they are capable of going off in any game. Even if these teams don’t make massive changes, the players will get some needed playing time to learn how the MLB game is.
