We have weekend baseball being played from the Great American Ballpark as the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds start a three game series. The White Sox come in after taking two of three games from the Minnesota Twins in their previous series and they have won three of four overall. As for the Reds, they dropped two of three from the San Diego Padres and they have lost three of four games overall. Both teams seem to be heading in slightly opposite directions, at least over the last few games. This series is a chance to gain some momentum for both sides and it should be fun to watch play out as it goes on.

What to Watch:
This game features one of the best, young pitchers around the game of baseball in Hunter Greene. His stuff is absolutely nasty and he looks to be one of the next greats. However, he is prone to having some command issues so he will need to make sure that he keeps his pitch count low and limit any damage from this Chicago offense. Greene has the tools to completely shut down any offense but he also has nights where he gets rocked as well. The Reds are hopeful that he can have a good outing in this one and stop their losing streak here.
Inconsistency has been the name of the game for Greene in his career so far so the key for the White Sox will be to get to him early. If they allow him to settle into any sort of rhythm on the mound, it’s curtains for them.
Game Prediction: Cincinnati Reds 8, Chicago White Sox 4
Greene shoves in this one and leaves the game with his team up 6-1 over Chicago. Then the bullpen sputters a bit but the Reds do hold on for the opening win of the series.
