If he can do this, it could allow the offense to give him some cushion to work with, which allows him more freedom on the mound. This Angels team will be relying on the young pitcher to have a strong outing, keeping the Red Sox offense at bay here.
As for Boston, they will be sending Tanner Houck to the mound later on. He has showed some good flashes this season in limited time and will look to take down the Angels offense. Boston needs Houck to slow down this Angels offense which can go off at any time. If he can keep his command early, it could be a solid day for the Red Sox here.
