The 2023 NFL Schedule has been released and the waiting for opening weekend begins. Let’s take a look at some of the best matchups on the Cincinnati Bengals schedule.
Week Two – Bengals vs Baltimore Baltimore
The Bengals and Ravens matchups always bring fireworks to the table. With Lamar Jackson returning to the lineup after his new extension alongside the revenge factor for how the 2022 playoff game ended, the Ravens will be looking for blood in Cincinnati.
Burrow is 1-2 in home openers so far in his career, including a disaster performance against the Steelers last season. While he always brings his A-game, Burrow is sure to give Bengals fans a show during his home opener.
Week 9 – Bengals vs Buffalo Bills
This one is pretty self explanatory. From the hype of the Monday Night Football game in 2022, to the tragedy that occurred on the field, to the Bengals anhilation of the Bills in Buffalo, this game is going to be electric.
Cincinnati fans will turn out in droves to cheer on their Bengals against the Bills. The atmosphere will be rocking and maybe the Bengals will give the mans even more to cheer about with their all white jerseys.
Week 13 – Bengals @ Jacksonville Jaguars
In 2021, the Bengals faced off against rookie Trevor Lawrence and the Urban Meyer led Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags took a 14-0 lead until the Bengals stormed back and won it on an Evan McPherson game-winning field goal.
That was a very different Jaguars team. Trevor Lawrence has turned into an All-Pro caliber quarterback and had the Chiefs on the ropes in last year’s divisional round. The NFL finally gets its rematch between Joe Burrow’s LSU and Trevor Lawrence’s Clemson. Two juggernauts going head to head on Monday Night Football. Sign me up.
Week 17 – Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs
Do I need to say anything more? The Chiefs will never let the “Burrowhead” comment go, and the Bengals will never get over the loss in the AFC Championship. This is the best rivalry in football. It’s on the verge of becoming this generation’s Manning v. Brady.
While it’s not a primetime game, the NFL set their biggest game to help ring in the New Year. And both fanbases will know that this is likely not the last time they’ll see each other in the 2023 season. Bengals fans will be hoping this is the last time, however, that they see them Arrowhead.
