Tomorrow, game three of the Western Conference Finals kicks off between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Dallas Stars. The scene shifts over to Dallas for this one as the Stars will be looking to get back in the series. Vegas will be looking to take a commanding lead and it all comes from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Puck-drop between the two sides is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST.
Vegas enters this game feeling good. They defending home ice and now have a chance to take a 3-0 series lead over the Stars. Both of the first two games went to overtime, with Vegas prevailing in front of their home fans. However, as the series shifts to Texas now, the Golden Knights know that they have their work cut out for them. Dallas is a very good team at home and will be playing with some desperation here. Vegas needs to slow their offense while also generating their own attack. The Golden Knights have been good throughout the postseason at forcing other teams to play their game and they’ll need to do that once again.
As for the Stars, they find themselves down 0-2 in the series as they head home. But with the next two on their home ice, they know they can tie this series up if they focus. Dallas is one of the deepest and more veteran squads left in the playoffs so if they just get back to the basics, they should be in good shape. They have a very talented defense, which can make life very tough for opposing sides. If they are to get back in the series, the defense is going to have to carry them. Like the Golden Knights, Dallas needs to find ways to force Vegas to play a slow, grind it out style of game tonight.
