With the series shifting back to Dallas tonight, the Seattle Kraken and Dallas Stars will be looking to take control of the series. Puck-drop between the two sides is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. EST from American Airlines Center.
Seattle enters this game after dropping game four in disappointing fashion. Now it’s the best of three, with two of the three potential games taking place on the road. However, this team isn’t afraid and will be ready to go. They will need to slow the Dallas offense for any chance of winning. In the two games they lost in the series, the Stars offense lit them up. Disrupting passing lanes and forcing the Stars into poor shot attempts will help and also will help set up the offense for Seattle as well.
Dallas showed off their toughness last game, getting a massive game four victory to even up the series. They had a lot going against them but found a way to win. This is a veteran group, who at times has looked slow but something clicked in game four. Remember, the Stars also played around with the Minnesota Wild in their opening round series before taking control in games four, five, and six. I’m not going to say the exact same thing happens but it seems like the Stars like to learn the opponent and feel them out before they can take advantages of any weaknesses. It has worked so far and now they have a chance to take control of the series at home.
Game Prediction: Dallas Stars 6, Seattle Kraken 4
With this series going back to Dallas, I like them to take the lead. Dallas has been waiting for a golden chance like this and they take it.
