The Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Angels are kicking off their second game of a three game series. The Nationals came from behind and won the first game by a score of 6-4 last night. Washington has won three of their last four games overall and have started showing small signs that maybe, just maybe they won’t be complete pushovers all season long. The Angels come in having lost two straight games and will be looking to halt the losing streak and build some momentum back up.
Date: Tuesday, April 11th, 2023
Time: 9:38 p.m. EST
Location: Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California
Team Records: Washington Nationals (4-7), Los Angeles Angels (5-5)
Projected Starting Pitchers:
Josiah Gray (0-2, 4.91 ERA) vs Shohei Ohtani (1-0, 0.75 ERA)
What to Watch:
It’s Shohei Ohtani day around the sport of baseball! It’s one of the better days every five days as fans get to see one of the best players in baseball pitch and hit. His game is so special and every time he takes the mound, something incredible happens. He has been spectacular to start the season in his first few starts and will be looking to keep things going against an Nationals team that has a questionable offense. If Ohtani can be Ohtani, the Angels should be in good shape to take the game.
Game Prediction: Los Angeles Angels 4, Washington Nationals 2
With Ohtani on the mound today, I have to go with the Angels. Behind a strong showing from him, the Angels get the win at home.
