The New York Giants are getting a #1 receiver in Jalin Hyatt

By

The New York Giants have been having a good draft so far under second year general manager, Joe Schoen. Schoen has done a great job addressing the Giants needs as the team seeks to go back to the playoffs after making it last year with the hopes of a maybe deeper run in the postseason. The Giants traded up a pick from Jacksonville in the first round to draft cornerback Deonte Banks from Maryland to help a depleted Giants secondary.

And in the second round, they again pulled off a trade with the LA Rams this team taking center, John Michael Schmitz out of Minnesota. These picks the Giants have made will definitely address the needs this team has and will improve this team mightily. But, it was actually the pick they made in the third round which I think is a total steal for the Giants and will work out perfectly for the Giants offense. Here’s why Jalin Hyatt will be a number one receiver for Big Blue.

The Giants selected Jalin Hyatt in the third round in the draft and the wideout out of Tennessee has a chance to contribute big time for a Giants offense that has not had a wide receiver have 1,000 yards receiving since 2019 and Hyatt has the ability to do just that. During this past season, Hyatt was the main contributor to the Vol’s high-powered offense as he had 15 touchdowns during the 2022 season. Hyatt finished his collegiate career with an impressive 19 touchdowns in 35 games played along with 108 receptions plus 1,769 receiving yards.

I can see Hyatt translate the success he had in college over in the NFL. He fits perfectly in the Giants system on offense. He’s fast, illusive and can do pretty much anything he is called upon on offense. Paring him with Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins and newly acquired Giants Parris Campbell and tight end Darren Waller is a scary offense. And you can’t forget about Saquon Barkey too. I truly believe Jalin Hyatt is a match made in heaven for the New York Giants and this third-round pick was a total steal for the Gmen.
