Patrick Wisdom hits over 40 home runs

Wisdom seems to be hitting a home run every day. He is currently tied for the league lead in home runs with nine. He has had 25 or more home runs in consecutive seasons. Wisdom looks like he is going to fly by his career-high 28 home runs in 2021 and possibly reach the 40s. As of today, there’s no reason that he shouldn’t. Let’s see if he stays hot throughout the year.

Ronald Acuna Jr. Wins MVP

Acuna Jr. is tearing the cover off the baseball in 2023. In 79 at-bats, he has 29 hits and is hitting for a .367 average. He also has eight stolen bases and is proving that he can be one of the league’s best lead off hitters. The home runs will come for Acuna, he currently only has three. That total will jump, and I expect him to hit anywhere from 25-30 home runs. After the season is all said and done, Acuna should be among the top MVP vote getters, and he may even have a chance to win the award.

Cody Bellinger finds himself again and plays at a high level all season

Bellinger is hitting for a .301 average with five home runs and 14 runs batted in so far this season. He has failed to hit over a .240 average since his MVP season in 2019, so you can’t be sold on Bellinger just yet. Nonetheless, he certainly looks like his former self again to start 2023, and we can only hope that this kind of play continues. Maybe the fresh start with the Chicago Cubs is helping. The Cubs could most definitely use his hot bat all season. Let’s see if Cody can keep up this pace all season.
