Friday night baseball from historic Fenway Park will be played tonight as the Cleveland Guardians and Boston Red Sox open up a three game series. The two teams come into the matchup with almost identical records and they will be looking to try and put some consistent play together. The Guardians enter this series after dropping two of three to the Colorado Rockies while the Boston Red Sox lost two of three to the Baltimore Orioles. This series could be a potential playoff preview if all goes well for the squads, making it a fun one to watch as we enter into the weekend here.

What to Watch:

This game will feature one of the better pitchers in the game in Shane Bieber. The right hander has some nasty stuff on the mound and can dominant any game, at any given time. However, he hasn’t gotten off to the best start so far this season but does have a chance to help his team grab a big win here today. They need him to be his former CY Young winning self if they want to head into Boston and take the win.

As for the Red Sox, the x-factor for them will be trying to solve Bieber. Boston has a good offense but has played inconsistent at times this season. They need to put together a full game plan and attack Bieber early before he settles into a nice rhythm. Bieber is a force on the mound but Boston has the means to counter him. If they can do that, it could be a fun night for the home fans.
