Boston heads to Baltimore for the start of a three game series between the two American League East rivals. The Red Sox are coming off a series where they took two of three games from the Milwaukee Brewers on the road. It was an impressive few days for the Red Sox as Milwaukee had been on fire before the series. Boston has come on stronger of late after a slow start to open the year. As for the Orioles, they are coming off a series sweep of the Detroit Tigers. Baltimore is one of the better teams around the league at this time and it seems they have picked up where they left off last season. The Orioles are one of the youngest teams in the game and are showing that they are a force to deal with.

Boston throws out Chris Sale in this matchup and he will be the key in the game tonight. Sale has gotten off to a rough start to open the season and the team needs him to really pick things up. He was once one of the more dominant pitchers around the game of baseball but injuries and inconsistent play have seen him fall back down to earth. He still can showcase his nasty stuff on the mound every once in a while and they will need it tonight against a good Orioles squad.

Baltimore has been impressive this season behind strong pitching and timely hitting. They are no longer the pushovers they once were even two seasons ago and they seem to be on the verge of being the next powerhouse if they can keep up the success. If the offense can get to Sale early on, it could be a long night for the Red Sox on the road here.
