We have a potential close out game tonight as the Winnipeg Jets try to keep their season alive against the Vegas Golden Knights on the road. Game five will be live from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with puck-off scheduled for 10:00 p.m. EST between the two teams.
The Jets come in fighting for their lives. They will be playing with a sense of desperation and rightfully so. They looked great in game one, only to fall way behind since. Winnipeg will fight and they need to emulate their defense from their first win. If they can stop the Vegas attack, they will have a chance. The Jets need to pressure the Golden Knights into bad shots and hope that their defense turns into offense. It won’t be easy but Winnipeg has the style of play to extend this series even with their backs against the wall.
After dropping the opening game of the series, Vegas has dominated the Jets. They have won three straight and have a chance to close this series out in front of their home fans. They have been physical from the point of attack and it has rattled the Jets. The double overtime win in game three showed the resilience of this squad and they’ve proven that they can win any type of game. It won’t be easy to close out Winnipeg however as the final game of a series is always the hardest to win. If Vegas can create strong passing lanes and shot opportunities, I like their chances here.
Game Prediction: Vegas Golden Knights 6, Winnipeg Jets 4
Within this game, I see the Jets taking an early lead before Vegas storms back and grabs the win. Give me the home team to close this series out and advance here.
