We have a series as game five between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers returns to Prudential Center. Puck-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST between the two Eastern Conference rivals.
The Rangers come into this game after being punched in the mouth at home over the last two games. They need to respond and respond quickly and maybe being on the road could be the recipe for success. They were much better when playing in New Jersey in game one and two, only to be left out to dry in games three and four. New York needs their offense to return and if they can get that going, it would be beneficial. They must win at least one more game on the road in this series since they dropped both game three and four so why not tonight. New York has the tools to win this game but they need to come out strong early on to set the tone of the game. If they can quiet the crowd early, it could be a good sign for New York.
The Devils come in feeling great. After dropping the first two at home, they stormed back and won both in Madison Square Garden. Now they head home with a chance to take back control of the series. However, this will be a fight and the Devils must come prepared. The Devils have been one of the better teams around the NHL all season long and they will need to rely on their instincts in this one. The defense was much better in New York and they will need that to keep that up as they head home. If they can hold down the New York offense and get the crowd behind them, it could be a good night for the Devils.
