Game four between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers is all set for tonight from Madison Square Garden. Puck-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST between the two rivals.

The Devils come into this game after taking down New York in game three to get back into the series. They dropped both of the first two games at home, being completely outplayed by the Rangers in those. However, they responded on the road and now have a chance to tie the series before heading home. They will need another strong defensive and physical game plan tonight if they want to even the series up. New York has an explosive offense so the Devils will want to take sure they take away passing lanes and force the Rangers into contested shot attempts. If they can do that and generate some offense, it could be beneficial for the New Jersey boys.

As for the Rangers, it was a disappointing showing in their first home game after taking the first two game of the series on the road. They will look to get back on track in front of their home crowd tonight and they need to get back to the basics. Offensive production is their bread and butter so making sure they are efficient in their shot selection will be key. They allowed the Devils to get back into the series but have a chance to really put the strain on their rivals by taking a commanding 3-1 series lead if they can pull off the win here. The Rangers scored 10 goals in the first two games but only one in game three. They need to move the puck better and force the Devils defense to react to them rather than allowing them to get set in place. If they can do that, it could be a long night for the Devils on the road.

Game Prediction: New Jersey Devils 4, New York Rangers 2

Within this game, I see it being a back and forth contest throughout. In the third period, New Jersey takes the lead and never looks back to tie the series.
