New York Islanders vs Columbus Blue Jackets Game Preview and Prediction 3/24/2023

The New York Islanders head to Ohio for a date with the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. EST between the two sides from Nationwide Arena.

New York enters tonight with a record of 37-27-8 on the season and they have won three straight entering tonight. The Islanders are right in the thick of things for the playoff hunt so every game really counts at this point in the year. They need both points tonight against the lowly Blue Jackets so they’ll need to not take them for granted. They have gone 7-2-1 over their last 10 games overall, meaning they are playing some of their best hockey of the year at the right time.

Columbus comes into this matchup having won their last game out. However, this team still sits at the bottom of the NHL standings and if firmly locked into looking ahead to the upcoming NHL Draft. The Blue Jackets hold a record of 22-41-7 on the season and they have gone 3-6-1 over their last 10 games overall. This team has really struggled all season long despite having an active offseason that was supposed to wield better results. They will have their hands full tonight as they take on a strong Islanders team.

Prediction: New York Islanders 4, Columbus Blue Jackets 2

Give me the Islanders to grab a big road win against a poor Blue Jackets team.
