March Madness is coming up in a few weeks and there is a name that you need to keep an eye on. Caitlin Clark of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Clark has been special this season for the Iowa Hawkeyes, averaging 27.6 points, eight rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game on 46.3 percent shooting. She has taken the NCAA by storm and doesn’t seem to be slowing down at all. It has also helped Iowa jump up in the rankings, currently sitting at sixth overall in the AP Top-25 poll. They likely will also jump up a little more once the new rankings come out soon.
The Hawkeyes are 19-4 overall this season and are currently on an eight game winning streak. Clark has posted incredible numbers all year long and has this team playing at a very high level at the right time.
What she is doing at the college level has been insane to watch and makes the Hawkeyes a must-watch every time out. Clark has shown the ability to lead her team with her performance, as well as getting others involved.

Over the weekend against Penn State, Clark put up 23 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists. It would be her ninth triple-double of her career which added to her own Big 10 record and allowed her to tie for the second most in women’s NCAA history.

She is easily one of, if not, the best shooter in the college game today and has started to receive more attention on a nation level. The range she has on the court is impressive and should translate over well to the WNBA, should she want to go pro at some point.

Clark should be the favorite to win the Women’s National Player of the Year Award after what she has done this season. And it’ll be exciting to watch her and the Hawkeyes come tournament time.
