Carolina Hurricanes vs Buffalo Sabres Game Preview and Prediction 2/1/2023

By

The Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabres are ready to finish off the pre-All Star break with a matchup. Puck-drop between the sides is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST from Keybank Center.

Carolina enters this game looking to grab a win before the All-Star break. They currently sit in first place in the Metropolitan Division and it has been an awesome season thus far for them. They expected to be one of the best teams around the NHL and it has come to fruition to this point. The Hurricanes are strong in multiple areas on the ice, making them a real force to be dealt with on a nightly basis.

As for the Sabres, they come into this game with a record of 26-19-4 on the season. Buffalo has picked up the pace lately, going 6-2-2 over their last ten games overall. It has helped vault them back into playoff contention and this team looks like it could be a fun story over the rest of the season. If they can pick up a win against a team like the Hurricanes tonight, it could go a long way for them.

Prediction: Buffalo Sabres 4, Carolina Hurricanes 3 (OT)

I actually like the Sabres to grab this game at home here. They have been playing very well lately and they get a needed overtime win.
