As of just this week, Bronny James has narrowed his colleges down to just three schools. As many know, LeBron James did not attend college but always has shown the most love to The Ohio State University and has publicly said he would’ve enrolled there if he had gone to college. Now we have no clue how true that really is, but after everything he has done for the school, it’s not a crazy thought. With that being said, Bronny James has placed Ohio State within his top three schools.
Ohio State always has a solid team year in and year out and again this year coach Chris Holtmann was blessed with a great lineup, but the January blues have hit the Buckeyes hard. They are just 2-5 in the conference and 10-8 overall, second to last in the Big Ten. James playing high school ball in California and his dad playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, staying home is a real possibility for him. James has included the University of Southern California in his top three as well.
USC has had a pretty decent year at 5-3 in the Pac-12 and 13-6 overall, being tied for fourth place in a very solid conference through and through. USC is obviously a desired landing spot, being in Los Angeles with his dad’s Lakers team and so much more. Another big plus of going to USC would be the NIL deals James would pull in. Being that big of a star in high school, I can’t even imagine how blown up his name, image, and likeliness would be in Hollywood.
Finally, rounding out the top three, is the school where many believe he will play his college ball is the Oregon Ducks. The Ducks are 5-3 in the Pac-12 and 11-8 overall, falling into the fourth place spot alongside USC. Oregon football has done great with recruiting, and there is no reason the basketball program wouldn’t as well. With the massive Nike deals Oregon has, the facilities they are building, and the fan base that is big and growing in Eugene, it makes perfect sense on why Bronny James would commit here.
If you know anything about the James family, you know that like his dad LeBron James, Bronny James already has a Nike deal coming out of high school. So, when picking his college that he will play at, James had to select a school with a Nike deal already, which gave us the top three we have now; Ohio State, USC, and Oregon. It will be a very exciting commitment, and I’m positive that his first collegiate game will be one of the most anticipated since Zion Williamson at Duke.
