The NFL season is down to its final two weeks as teams prepare to make a final surge into the postseason. Here are two bold predictions I have for week 17.
Trevor Lawerence will score four touchdowns against the Houston Texans
These next two weeks are must win situations for Jacksonville to maintain their standing in the AFC playoff race. Trevor Lawerence has played at a high level since the bye week. His stats are 13 total touchdowns to just one interception. The combination between the importance of the game for the Jaguars and the matchup is a dream scenario. Houston has the 30th ranked defense in the NFL due to their inability to stop the run. As the run gets going for Jacksonville, expect for Lawrence to incorporate play action passes against the Texans. Today will be one of the better games of the season for the Jaguars signal caller.
Pittsburgh Steelers over Baltimore Ravens
Lamar Jackson has been ruled out of this weeks matchup against the Steelers. Just a few weeks ago the Ravens barely got past the Steelers, but Mike Tomlin won’t let that happen again. The Steelers are close to being eliminated from playoff contention, so every game is important. Kenny Pickett needs to continue to prove himself and there’s no better situation than against a division rival. This game will look a lot like the December 11th matchup with not many touchdowns and lots of turnovers, but Pittsburgh will get the edge by three.
