The Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buffalo Bills will not have more than 40 Total points

Both Cincinnati and Buffalo had a scare in the Wild Card round as both were in danger of getting upset in the first round. This game will come down to which team takes care of the football. In the season both teams’ points per game totaled 55, so this contest will have a score substantially lower than what fans are accustomed to.

Sean McDermott knows the Bengals have a three headed monster at wide receiver, so expect Buffalo to have two high safety looks for the majority of the game to limit big plays. Joe Burrow will be patient, take open check downs to methodically move the ball down the field. The Bills will look to contain Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, which will give other Bengals pass catchers one on one opportunities. 

Buffalo needs Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs to be superheroes in order for them to score points. Lou Anerumo will have a game plan that will focus on keep Allen in the pocket. Cincinnati has the personnel needed to execute this, which will frustrate the Bills signal caller and cause turnovers. Allen is too talented to be completely shut down, so he’ll be able to get a touchdown or two on the board for Buffalo. I predict the final score to be 20-17 in this divisional matchup.

Brock Purdy will have three touchdown passes and zero interceptions

The San Francisco 49ers were in dismay after the injury of Jimmy Garoppolo. As uncertainty loomed in the Bay Area, Brock Purdy step right in to calm the nerves of the 49ers organization and fans. Purdy has 14 touchdowns to just four interceptions this season. Kyle Shanahan gives Purdy quick reads that constantly have an underneath route and check down. Shanahan will understand the importance of getting his young quarterback in rhythm early, so expect a lot of quick game and screens.

San Francisco has one of the best supporting casts in all of football with Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk. Micah Parsons has the ability to be a game wrecker and make the opposing quarterback play faster than they’d like, so expect for him to get double teamed majority of the game. The 49ers quarterback has the opportunity to prove he is the franchise quarterback and I expect him to have a big, mistake free night in primetime.
