Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
How To Watch:
Date: Monday, January 30th
Time: 8:00 pm EST
Venue: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Record: Warriors (25-24), Thunder (24-25)
Things To Know:
-The Thunder have gone 7-3 over their last 10 games.
-The Warriors have gone 5-5 over their last 10 games.
-Golden State has gone 6-18 on the road.
-The Thunder have gone 15-10 when playing on their home court.
-The Warriors haven’t lost in Oklahoma since 2019, and have gone 8-3 in their last 11 trips to Paycom Center.
Why The Warriors Can Win:
The Thunder lack identity on the defensive side of the ball. They are allowing 115.6 points per game, which is the 20th most allowed. This Warriors team has been strong on the offensive side of the ball, especially with their three-point shots, as they attempt the most per game with 43.3, and are making a league high 16.4. With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins on the court, they could very well give this Thunder defense trouble as the Thunder already allow 115.6 points per game. Expect Golden State to shoot from beyond the arc early and often to try to run the score up.
Why The Thunder Can Win:
While the Thunder’s defense may not be spectacular, the Golden State defense isn’t much better. They are allowing the fifth most points per game with 118 and the way Oklahoma City plays they should be able to capitalize on this. The Thunder are scoring 116.8 points per game, good for the sixth most in the NBA. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will continue to lead the way with his 30.9 points per game and 5.6 assists. With the quick transition play this Thunder offense operates at, the Warriors could struggle to keep up.
