Denver Nuggets vs. New Orleans Pelicans

How To Watch:

Date: Tuesday, January 24th

Time: 8:00 pm EST

Venue: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, Louisiana

Record: Nuggets (33-14), Pelicans (26-21)

Things To Know:

-The Nuggets are on a hot streak winning 11 of their last 13 games.

-On the other hand, the Pelicans have been on a cold streak losing seven of their last nine games.

-In the game between these two earlier in the season, New Orleans won 121-106.

Why The Nuggets Can Win:

The Pelicans will be without two major players in Brandon Ingram, and Zion Williamson. While the Nuggets could be without Nikola Jokic who is dealing with a hamstring injury, and Michael Porter Jr. (Personal) they have the team to help out if they miss another game. As a team, they are shooting from beyond the arc at 39.8%, which is the third highest in the league. Defensively they allow the seventh least three-point shot percentage with 34.8%, and with New Orleans still missing two of their primary scorers their defense should be able to continue to limit scores.

Why The Pelicans Can Win:

The Pelicans are a strong rebounding team, averaging the sixth most with 53.1 rebounds per game. That will need to continue to limit Denver from having more opportunities to score, Jonas Valanciunas has stepped up in this category with 11.8 rebounds per game. Him securing these rebounds and getting the ball to CJ McCollum who is averaging 25.4 points per game since Williamson has missed time will be the key to scoring on this Denver defense.
