Atlanta Hawks vs. Toronto Raptors
Date: Saturday, January 14
Time: 7:30 pm EST
Venue: Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, Ontario
Record: Hawks (20-22), Raptors (19-23)
Things To Know:
-This will be another back-to-back game for the Hawks as they are coming off a narrow two-point victory over the Indiana Pacers last night. This is not a good spot for Atlanta as they have had five back-to-back games this season going 1-4.
-The Hawks are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games against teams with a losing record.
-Over their last five home games the Raptors are 4-1 ATS.
Why The Hawks Will Win:
Atlanta will need their offense that is averaging 115 points per game to have multiple playmakers step up outside of Trae Young. Dejounte Murray is the only other player averaging over 20 points per game, while Bogdan Bogdanovic has chipped in with averaging 16.7 per game. Both players will need to continue to chip in to help keep pace with the Raptors.
Why The Raptors Will Win:
Pascal Siakam will put on a show. In the Raptors most recent win on Thursday over the Charlotte Hornets, Siakam scored 35 points and only missed two shots. The Hawks defense has been below par, allowing 116.2 points per game. Now coming into a back-to-back game their defense could slip up further allowing Siakam to find the basket frequently. Toronto also held Trae Young to 14 points and a 23.1% shooting percentage in their last matchup. They did so with having both OG Anunoby and Scottie Barnes on him, the same can be expected tonight.
