It’s a rematch of the Eastern Conference Finals from a season ago as the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat square off again. The game will tip-off at 7:30 EST from the TD Garden in Boston.
The two teams last played each other last time out with the Celtics holding serve at home by the score of 134-121. This time around the Heat will be getting some major reinforcements such as star Jimmy Butler. Butler has missed the last few games due to injury but will be returning tonight against Boston.
How Miami can win: Miami badly needs Butler back as they sit with a record of 10-12 on the year. They need to make up some major ground in the Eastern Conference standings. They are 2-8 away from the comforts of South Beach but with Butler back in the fold, anything is possible.
The Heat must contain the perimeter if they want to take down Boston. The Celtics offense has exploded onto the scene this season so making sure they close out on shooters will be key. Miami has the talent to do so but needs to go execute their gameplan.
How Boston can win: The Celtics enter this game as the best team in the league. They are hitting on all cylinders both defensively and offensively. It’s a scary sight for opposing teams to be honest. Led by the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, Boston is primed to make a run towards the NBA Finals once again.
Against the Heat, they know it will be a battle. Miami played them extremely tough last season in the playoffs and these two teams know each other well. Limiting turnovers and getting out in transition will be key for the Celtics in this game.
Prediction: Miami Heat 114, Boston Celtics 110
I think the Heat grab this win today. With Butler back in the mix, I think we see a more motivated Miami squad. Give me the underdog to get a needed road win here.
