The pair also sit atop the Wings point leaderboard with Larkin nothing 26 and Kubalik notching 24. Filip Hronek has put up 22 points and rounds out the top three. Villie Husso has been Detroit’s number one goaltender this season. The 27-year-old is 10-4-3 with a 2.58 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.
The Lightning enter tonight’s contest in third place in the Atlantic with a 15-8-1 record (31 points). Tampa is led by its captain, Steben Stamkos, who has tallied 13 goals this season. Nikita Kucherov leads the Bolts in points with 36 in 24 games. That total places the Russian in fourth place in the NHL in that category. Tampa Bay has four skater with at least 10 goals and five skaters with at least 20 points. Andrei Vasilevskiy remains solid in net. The 28-year-old is 10-7-1 with a 2.78 GAA and a .909 SV% in 18 games.
Tampa Bay took two of three meeting between he sides last season, but the Wings were able to salvage three of a possible six points tanks to an overtime loss. Tonight’s starting goaltenders are Husso for Detroit and Vasilevskiy for Tampa Bay.
