The Hurricanes travel to St. Louis for game two of a six-game road trip. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. EST.

Carolina enters December after an up and down month of November. The Canes currently sit in third place in the Metropolitan Division at 12-6-5. Andrei Svevhnikov leads the Hurricanes in goals with 14 as Martin Necas follows close behind with 11. Carolina has three player above 20 points this season. Necas and Sebastian Aho have tallied 25 points while Svechnikov is one behind with 24. Antti Raanta has stepped into the number one goaltender ole while Frederik Andersen is out with an injury. The 33-year-old has notched a 4-2-2 record with a 2.47 goals against average and a .901 save percentage in eight games.

St. Louis’ rollercoaster start has appeared to come to an end as the Blues have leveled out at sixth place in the Central Division with an 11-11-0 record. Jordan Kyrou leads the way in goals for the Blues with nine in his first 22 games. Robert Thomas holds the St. Louis lead in point with 19. He is followed closely by Kyrou (18), Brayden Schenn (17) and Pavel Buchnevich (16). Jordan Binnington has made 17 appearances between the pipes this season. The 29-year-old has a 9-8-0 record with a 3.05 GAA and a .900 SV%. St. Louis is expecting Thomas to return to the lineup tonight after missing Monday night’s game with a lower-body injury.

Carolina took both matchups between these two teams last season outscoring St. Louis 10-4 over two games. Tonight’s probable starting goaltenders are Raanta for Carolina and Binnington for St. Louis.
