New York Rangers vs Ottawa Senators Game Preview 11/30/2022

The New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators are set to square off tonight from Canadian Tire Centre in Canada. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7pm EST between these two Eastern Conference teams.

New York enters this matchup with a record of 10-9-4 while the Senators have a record of 8-12-1. Both teams have some ground to make up in their respective divisions and tonight could be the jump start they need.

Ottawa has won two games in a row despite being at the bottom of the Atlantic Division. They have been playing better hockey of late and will look to defend home-ice tonight. New York has lost three in a row and will be looking to try and halt their losing streak against one of the worst teams in the NHL.

Former Rangers goalie, Cam Talbot is expected to start for Ottawa tonight. He is 3-5 this season and is allowing 2.51 goals per game on average.

Igor Shesterkin likely gets the start in net for the Rangers and has a record of 10-4-3 with a goal allowed average of 2.58. He has talked about how he knows that his play isn’t up to his standards and that he wants to quickly correct it. Against a poor team like Ottawa, maybe Shesterkin can get back on track.

Prediction: Ottawa Senators 4, New York Rangers 3

I think the struggles continue for the Rangers and Ottawa takes advantage. It will be a close game but the home team comes out with the win here.
