Minnesota heads to Nashville for a brief one-game road trip against the Predators. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. EST.
The Wild are another team playing average hockey right now. Minnesota’s 16 points put them fourth in the Central Division. Kirill Kaprizov leads the Wild in goals with 10 in 15 games. Kaprizov also leads Minnesota in points with 17. Mats Zuccarello follows close behind the Russian with 15 points. Marc-Andre Fleury has rebounded after a rough start to his season, Fleury is 6-3-1 with a 2.87 goals against average and a .905 save percentage in 11 games.
Nashville has leveled itself out after a poor start. The Predators have tallied 13 points in its first 15 games and sit seventh in the Central. Nino Niederreiter leads Nashville in scoring with six goals. Filip Forsberg and Ryan Johansen have five goals each. Forsberg’s 15 points leads the Preds. Mikael Granlund (12) and Matt Duchene (11) are the only other skaters with double-digit points. Juuse Saros has been the Predators number one goaltender but hasn’t had the strongest year thus far. Saros is 4-6-1 with a 3.22 GAA and a .901 SV%.
Nashville dominated last season’s series winning three of four games and taking seven of a possible eight points from Minnesota. The projected starting goaltenders for tonight’s game are Fleury for Minnesota and Saros for Nashville.
