Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Orlando Magic Game Preview 11/16/22

The Minnesota Timberwolves get set to match up tonight against the Orlando Magic at Amway Center at 7pm EST.

For the Timberwolves, they enter tonight on their third game of a four game road trip culminating to a record of 6-8 whereas the Magic have enjoyed life at home for quite some time with their last of seven straight home games but fall to a 4-10 record.

How the Timberwolves Can Win:

The Timberwolves can win if they key in on their defense. Minnesota’s record could look a lot different if they can fix this issue ahead of tonight’s game. They cannot continuously give up stretches where they score a lot of points but their defense isn’t making up for the offense and end up allowing over 120 points because lack of defense is the way to lose games. One of the reasons they acquired Gobert was for help on defense so they are going to need him and others to step up.

How The Magic Can Win:

On the bright side for the Magic, they are a decent team at home. Well, I shouldn’t say decent but they are currently 0-6 on the road so the 4-4 at home looks exceptional. They have a tough road to prepare for, so ending their home stretch on a good note is always beneficial. They will be without key guys such as Paolo Banchero and Cole Anthony so they need their bench to run deep in this one and thrive off the Timberwolves lack of defense.

Prediction: Orlando Magic 122, Sacramento Kings 114

Ultimately, I am taking the underdog with the Magic tonight as I think they end their home stretch with a win while the Timberwolves still dwindle down on defense.
