The current top team in the Eastern Conference gets set to take on last year’s top team in the conference as the Miami Heat face the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. EST at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Heat have yet to find their form this season after their exceptional 53-29 season last year. Their biggest struggle has come on the road, where they have won just two games in nine road games thus far. They have often been shooting one-timers as they have struggled offensively, especially from the perimeter where they rank 25th, as well as failing to grab their own rebounds leading to extra chances.

The Celtics are as hot as a team can ever be. They have lost just one game in their last 14 games. Not only are they winning but they are dominating in each game they play. In fact, during those 14 games, they have a point differential of +13.

How Miami Can Win:

A Heat win will not come easy, but it isn’t impossible. They are going to need to clean up their game if they have any chance of coming away with the win. It will be tough to fix a game without Jimmy Butler, Victor Oladipo, and Duncan Robinson, but their depth will need to be hot the entire game if they want any chance to win. The Celtics are practically fully healthy now, so Miami is in for a tough contest.

How Boston Can Win:

Well, Boston should win, and they don’t have to really fix anything. They do get Al Horford and Jaylen Brown back and while they clearly have shown they might not need them as much, especially tonight, getting them in their lineup will give the team more offensive and defensive security. Both Horford and Brown came up huge in the Eastern Conference finals against the Miami Heat, which led the Celtics to reach the NBA Finals.

Prediction: Boston Celtics 124, Miami Heat 116

I think we see both teams have an easy time getting to the basket, but the Celtics are far and away the better team in this matchup and should come away with the win.
