The Los Angeles Kings travel north to take on the Calgary Flames in a divisional matchup. Puck-drop is scheduled for 8:30pm EST from the Scotiabank Saddledome.
Los Angeles has a record of 10-6-1 while the Flames enter with a record of 6-6-2. These two teams faced each other three times last season with Calgary winning two of the three matchups.
Calgary seems to be getting a big boost to their team today as star center Jonathan Huberdeau is set to return to the lineup. He missed the past few games with an upper-body injury.
So far on the early season, the defense and offense have been good for the Kings but the goaltending has been a bit of a questionmark. Normally a strength of the Kings, it’s become a bit shaky. They will need a strong performance in net tonight going up against a tough Calgary team that can put pressure on the defense with ease.
Similar to the Kings, the Calgary goaltending has been shaky as well. They will need a good performance there if they want to take down Los Angeles. The Kings are good offensively so the Flames defense will have a challenge on their hands.
Prediction: Los Angeles Kings 4, Calgary Flames 2
