The Los Angeles Clippers head north to take on the Golden State Warriors on Thanksgiving Eve for a classic Northern California vs Southern California matchup. The game is scheduled to tip-off at 10pm EST from the Chase Center.

Los Angeles enters this matchup having won three straight and seven of their last ten games. They hold a record of 11-7 and seem to be getting some sort of rhythm together. The Warriors enter this game having split their last ten games and hold a record of 8-10 on the season.

The Clippers will be without Paul George and Kawhi Leonard for this game and that is a massive blow to the team. The two star players are crucial for this roster and with them being out, others will need to try and step up to get this victory.

How Los Angeles can win: Without their star players, guys like Norman Powell and Reggie Jackson are going to need to step up. To their credit, the Clippers played a large part of last season without their stars so this is nothing new to them. They showed that they can still be very effective and win ball games.

Against a team like the Warriors who can catch fire from distance, the Clippers will need to make sure they get off screens quickly and disrupt passing lanes. It’ll be a tough ask trying to go against Golden State without their stars but it can be done.

How Golden State can win: While the Warriors have gotten off to a slow start this season, they have picked it up as of late. Now they get a banged up Clippers team at home with a chance to keep that going. Steph Curry is still going strong, averaging 32.3 points per game and if he can have another strong night, it’ll be an easy win.

The Warriors should be able to make light work of the Clippers if they don’t take them for granted. That has been an issue for Golden State in recent years as they play down to their competition at times.

Even without their two star players, the Clippers will fight and make this a game. It’s in their DNA but the Warriors will ultimately come out with the victory.
