By

Dallas travels to Winnipeg for a Central Division battle with the Jets. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. EST.

The Stars have come out of the gates on fire notching an 8-3-1 record in its first 12 games. Jason Robertson leads Dallas in scoring so far with eight goals. Robertson also leads the Stars in points with 18. Four other Dallas skaters have eclipsed the double-digit point mark including Roope Hintz who has tallied 16 points. Jake Oettinger has been fantastic in net this season as he has notched a 5-1-0 record with a 1.40 goals against average and .952 save percentage. Unfortunately for Dallas, Oettinger will miss tonight’s game with a lower-body injury. Dallas will likely turn to Scott Wedgewood tonight. The 30-year-old is 3-2-1 with a 3.06 GAA and a .908 SV% this season.

The Jets come into tonight’s game winners of five of its last six. Mark Scheifele leads Winnipeg in scoring with six goals in his first 11 games. Josh Morrissey and Pierre-Luc Dubois are the only Jets with double digit points with 11 and 10 each. Winnipeg’s 7-3-1 record is largely credited to Connor Hellebuyck’s performance in net. The American is 6-2-1 with a 2.09 GAA and a .936 SV% this season.

These teams faced off against each other four times last season with each game needing overtime to decide the outcome. The Stars won three of those four games. Dallas also won the first meeting between these teams this season by a score of 4-1. The projected starting goaltenders are Wedgewood for Dallas and Hellebuyck for Winnipeg.
