Brooklyn Nets vs Sacramento Kings Game Preview 11/15/2022

The Brooklyn Nets continue their west coast road trip as they take on the Sacramento Kings tonight with tip-off scheduled for 10pm EST.

The Nets are currently 6-8 on the season, sitting in the 12th slot of the Eastern Conference standings. The Kings come into this matchup with a record of 6-6 and are currently 9th in the Western Conference standings.

Sacramento is on a three-game winning streak and would love to keep that going against a Nets team that is mixed up in a ton of drama at the moment. Brooklyn needs to get a victory here to inch closer to .500 amid all of the drama.

How Brooklyn can win: While guard Kyrie Irving remains out for Brooklyn tonight, the team has said that Nic Claxton, Seth Curry and Ben Simmons will all play. These are needed reinforements for the Nets against a young team like the Kings. They still have Kevin Durant, who is always a matchup problem for opposing teams.

The defense for the Nets has been subpar but has picked up some speed of late. If they can play effectively and limit the Kings guards, it could lead them to victory.

How Sacramento can win: The Kings keep chugging along with the hope to finally break their playoff drought. If the season ended right now, they would meet that goal. But we have a long way to go.

Guard De’Aaron Fox has been on a tear this season, averaging 25.5 points on 54.8 percent shooting. If he can have another big game, it could mean another victory for the Kings.

Prediction: Brooklyn Nets 111, Sacramento Kings 107

The Kings have been in all of their games this season and I expect that to continue. However, give me Brooklyn to come away with the needed win.
