22. Tulane Green Wave
21. Illinois Fighting Illini
20. North Carolina Tar Heels
19. Cincinnati Bearcats
18. Syracuse Orange

Despite the loss to Clemson this weekend, the Orange remain a good football team. They are close to really breaking through and can learn from this small setback. Don’t sleep on them for the rest of the year.

17. Ole Miss Rebels
16. Kentucky Wildcats
15. LSU Tigers

Turns out Brian Kelly can coach ball after all. Some proclaimed the LSU Tigers to be dead after an opening day loss to Florida State, but they have won six of the last seven. Although a spot in the College Football Playoff may be out of reach, this season has been a massive success for the LSU program in Kelly’s first year on the job. They have a big game on November 5th when they host Alabama.

14. Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State has a showdown with Ohio State this weekend from Beaver stadium. It has been a welcoming place for them over the years with the Buckeyes in town. A win here would go a long way for their season.

13. Utah Utes
12. UCLA Bruins
11. USC Trojans
10. Wake Forest Demon Deacons
9. Oklahoma State Cowboys
8. Oregon Ducks

Oregon handed UCLA their first loss of the season in impressive fashion. After an opening week loss, the Ducks look like themselves and that should scare opposing teams.

7. TCU Horned Frogs

TCU just keeps on winning. The Horned Frogs are in prime position to attend the Big-12 title game and a win there provides them with a strong case for the playoff. They will likely be favored in all of their remaining games as well. What Sonny Dykes has done in Fort Worth has been nothing shy of impressive.

6. Alabama Crimson Tide
5. Clemson Tigers

Clemson is back, folks. The Tigers are now 8-0 after a big win over Syracuse. They have all but locked up the Atlantic division in the ACC and are knocking on the door of returning to the College Football Playoff after a one-year hiatus. Welcome back to the party, Dabo Swinney!

4. Michigan Wolverines
3. Tennessee Volunteers
2. Georgia Bulldogs
1. Ohio State Buckeyes
