Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers host Quinn Hughes and the Vancouver Canucks at 10:08 p.m. EST.

The Oilers are coming off a Western Conference Finals loss after the team tallied 104 points in the regular season. McDavid and Leon Draisaitl look to pick up where they left off last season, as both finished well above 100 points (123 for McDavid). Jack Campbell will make his Oiler debut after inking a five-year deal this summer.

The Canucks had an up and down 2021-22 season and ultimately finished with 92 points, narrowly missing the postseason. Vancouver kept last season’s team very much intact and did not do much this offseason. Something to watch will be how the Canucks perform out of the gate and what moves will happen once the trade deadline gets closer.

Edmonton swept Vancouver last season over four meetings, capturing all eight points and leaving the Canucks with none. While the Oilers won all four games, each contest was decided by one goal. Vancouver will start Thatcher Demko in net, while the Oilers will go with the aforementioned Campbell.
