The Toronto Maple Leafs head to Las Vegas to take on the Golden Knights. Puck drop is scheduled for 10:08 p.m. EST.

Toronto has captured eight points in its first six games. The Maple Leafs have played in four one-goal games this season, with a record of 3-1-0 in those games. Toronto is led in scoring by John Tavares and William Nylander, who have tallied three goals each. Tavares is also Toronto’s point leader with seven, as the Maple Leafs have had 18 different players record a point thus far. Goaltender Ilya Samsonov has stepped up after Matt Murray went down with an injury. Samsonov is 4-0-0 with a 1.73 goals against average and .938 save percentage.

Vegas is off to a 4-2-0 start with wins against quality opponents like the Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings on the road. The Golden Knights are led offensively by Johnathan Marchessault, who has found the back of the net five times so far this season. Jack Eichel has impressed in his first full season with Vegas, tallying seven points and leading the Knights in that category. The goaltending tandem of Adin Hill and Logan Thompson have impressed through six games as both have sub 2.30 GAAs and save percentages of .926 and .934.

Toronto took both games against Vegas last season, scoring four goals in each game. The Golden Knights were able to salvage one of four points, though, as Vegas forced a shootout in game two. The expected goaltending matchup tonight is Samsonov for the Maple Leafs and Thompson for the Knights.
