Week Seven is finally here, and I have some bold predictions for you to watch out for this Sunday. Last week I told you Rhamondre Stevenson would finish as a top five running back, and he finished as the running back two. I also told you Justin Herbert would fall outside the top 20 quarterbacks, and he finished as the quarterback 24. With the new week, we’re on a clean slate for three more bold predictions.
Kenneth Walker III Will Finish As A Top Five Running Back
The new Seattle Seahawks lead back has been running all over teams since taking over after Rashaad Penny’s season ending injury. Kenneth Walker has been a top 10 running back over the course of the last two weeks, including a top eight finish this past week. Now he gets a top five matchup against running backs with the Los Angeles Chargers as the clear workhorse.
This has the potential of being a high scoring close game which would give Walker plenty of opportunities on the ground as well as in the air. He can realistically touch the ball 25-plus times, and that’s what will help him reach top five status. I can realistically see Walker hit over 125 total yards, tagging along four receptions and a touchdown to win people’s fantasy football matchups this week.
Jimmy Garoppolo Will Finish As A Top Five Quarterback
Jimmy Garoppolo is in for a huge fantasy game against the Kansas City Chiefs. He will have no trouble getting the ball out into the receiver’s hands with a multitude of chances to score as the Chiefs allow the most passing attempts, the most completions, and the most passing touchdowns in the entire league. This would be a huge bounce back game for the offense after scoring just 14 points against the Atlanta Falcons.
I expect this game to be extremely high scoring, which would put Garoppolo in a position to potentially score four total touchdowns. If you need a quarterback with all the players on bye weeks in Week Seven, Garoppolo is a guy I would be looking to grab and start.
Travis Kelce Will Not Finish As A Top Seven Tight End
Travis Kelce has been an absolute menace for fantasy managers this season, finishing as a top three tight end in five of his six games this season. But now he faces a tough matchup in Week Seven against the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have clamped up every tight end they have faced except for Tyler Higbee this season. They allow 4.2 receptions to tight ends per game and yet only allow 26.5 yards per game. This slots them with the lowest yards per reception allowed to tight ends in the league.
Kelce is going to get the ball, but I think he struggles to get extra yards in this game. I still think Kelce has a nice game, he’ll probably hit double-digit points. He is obviously always going to be in your lineups, but I’d lower my expectations of him against the 49ers this week.
