The Dallas Stars head to Boston to conclude its four-game road trip facing the Bruins. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:08 p.m. EST.
Dallas is off to a surprising 4-1-1 start to its season. The Stars are on a second of a back-to-back after falling 4-2 in Ottawa last night. Veteran center Joe Pavelski is off to a hot start to his season as he leads the team in goals with four. Pavelski is joined by Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz for the team lead in points with seven each. Dallas has had 16 different players record a point this season. Jake Oettinger has been fantastic in net to start the year. The 23-year-old is 4-0-0 with a 1.25 goals against average and .959 save percentage.
Boston is also off to a surprising 5-1-0 start. The Bruins have defeated some good teams thus far like Washington, Florida and Minnesota. The B’s only loss is in Ottawa to the Senators. David Pastrnak leads Boston in goals and points with four and ten respectively. It has been a tale of two goaltenders for the Bruins as Linus Ullmark has been solid to start the season, while Jeremy Swayman has struggled. Brandon Carlo will return to the lineup tonight after missing his previous four games with a concussion.
Boston and Dallas split last season’s series with the home team winning both games. The projected goaltenders for tonight’s game are Oettinger for the Stars and Ullmark for the Bruins.
