The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will take on the Green Bay Packers in Week Three of the NFL season. The Packers are coming off a primetime win against the Chicago Bears, while the Buccaneers picked up a win on the road over their divisional rival in the New Orleans Saints.

This will be the first meeting between these two teams since 2021, when the Buccaneers beat the Packers 31-26 in the NFC Championship Game. The Buccaneers have won two straight games in the series, and hold a 2-3 disadvantage over the Packers since 2010.

The Packers’ offense is led by reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers, who is coming off a stellar performance against the Bears, where he completed 19-of-25 passes for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Rodgers has had struggles with his wide receivers, and there still hasn’t been a clear number one receiver. Sammy Watkins has been ruled out for the game, and the Packers have listed receivers Christian Watson, Randall Cobb and tight end Marcedes Lewis as questionable.

The Buccaneers have allowed the second-lowest opponent passing rating of 54.6 in the NFL. They will be able to put Rodgers to the test with such poor receiving options.

The Packers will also look to running backs Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon to take on what has historically been a stout Tampa Bay run defense. The Buccaneers have allowed the eighth least amount of opponent rushing yards this season.

The Buccaneers’ offense is looking a lot more weak than expected going into this game. Mike Evans is suspended after an ejection during the game against the Saints. Chris Godwin is out with a hamstring injury he sustained Week One against the Dallas Cowboys. Wide receivers Russell Gage and Julio Jones are also questionable for the matchup against the Packers. To deal with the lack of available receivers, the Buccaneers have signed Cole Beasley.

Tampa Bay is the favorite in this game at -115 while the Packers are currently at +105.

I have the Buccaneers winning the game and think that betting the moneyline on the Buccaneers is a good bet. The Buccaneers also have the home field advantage. Tampa Bay will be able to rely on the suffocating defense to take on the Packers and limit Rodgers. I believe that Beasley will be the leading receiver for the Buccaneers and will be utilized by Brady to secure the win.
