QB Starts
Jared Goff – DET
Week 3 stats: 277 yards 1 TD 1 INT – 13.88 PPR points
Week 4 matchup: vs SEA
Jared Goff has been quietly impressive this season with the Lions, a team that has become one of the better offenses in the NFL. While Detroit’s defense has struggled to contain opposing quarterbacks, that has also led to favorable game scripts for the former first overall pick. With Goff’s week three stats dampened by a late interception in a Hail Mary situation, look for him to produce against the rebuilding Seahawks.
Russell Wilson – DEN
Week 3 stats: 184 yards, 0 TD – 9.06 PPR points
Week 4 matchup: @ LV
Broncos Country, let’s stop punting. In the snooze fest of a game against the 49ers last Sunday, Russell Wilson looked more like a game manager than the star NFL fans have grown accustomed to watching. However, Wilson managed to show flashes of his elite playmaking late in the fourth quarter and on a drive that ultimately won the Broncos the game. Against a struggling Raiders secondary, now is the time for Wilson and the Broncos to finally put together a complete offensive performance.
Tom Brady – TB
Week 3 stats: 271 yards, 1 TD – 14.74 PPR points
Week 4 matchup: vs KC
Last week, Brady was listed as a sit and he put up a mediocre 14.74 points in PPR formats. Brady gets a vital weapon back in Mike Evans this week, along with a Sunday Night Football matchup under the bright lights against the Chiefs. The Chiefs secondary has looked vulnerable this year after losing Pro Bowler Tyrann Mathieu. Coming off a loss against the Colts, the Chiefs offense will be looking to bounce back. That could lead to a full game of pass attempts for Brady and put him in position for week four fantasy success.
QB Sits
Matthew Stafford – LAR
Week 3 stats: 249 yards, 0 TD – 10.16 PPR points
Week 4 matchup: @ SF
Matthew Stafford has looked every bit as turnover prone as he was last year. He finished without an interception against the Cardinals in large part due to numerous dropped picks by the Cardinals secondary. Now that he will face a 49ers defense that has looked elite, fantasy managers should continue to sit Stafford.
Trevor Lawrence – JAX
Week 3 stats: 262 yards, 3 TDs – 25.18 PPR points
Week 4 matchup: @ PHI
Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars have been a pleasant surprise this year, pulling off back-to-back upsets against the Colts and Chargers. However, the Eagles have also looked wildly impressive on both sides of the ball. After nine sacks in week two, the Eagles are feeling confident which is bad news for Lawrence and the Jags.
Tua Tagovailoa – MIA
Week 3 stats: 186 yards, 1 TD – 11.44 PPR points
Week 4 matchup: @ CIN
Tua Tagovailoa was a comfortable sit for me last week, and unfortunately for the young gunslinger this Sunday could bode a similar result. Assuming he even plays, Tagovailoa is coming off a short week of rest after getting banged up against the Bills. The Bengals defense has also fared well against opposing quarterbacks this year, albeit against below average arm talents. Nevertheless, with injury concerns there should be better options for you fantasy team.
