The Milwaukee Bucks travel to Boston tonight to take on the Celtics in a pivotal, potential series-defining game five tonight at 7 PM EST.
Boston is coming off a massive win in Milwaukee in game four, in which they outscored Milwaukee 43-28 in the fourth quarter to steal the victory and avoid a 3-1 hole. This was without one of their best defenders in C Robert Williams, who is questionable for game five with knee soreness. Being at home is massive for the Celtics tonight, as home teams this playoffs have had way more success during these playoffs compared to previous years.
The Bucks miss Khris Middleton, who is ruled out the rest of the series due to injury. Giannis has been struggling to find a good second option. Jrue Holiday has been very aggressive, averaging 23 field goal attempts through four games but is only shooting 33.6% from the field and 30.9% from behind the arc.
How Milwaukee Can Win:
When Brook Lopez is shooting well and opening the floor, the Bucks are almost unstoppable. Lopez has been historically bad on the road, averaging 4.8 points per game on the road compared to 17 at home. If he can get the three-ball to start falling, that will open the paint for more ball movement and better scoring chances on the inside for the Celtics’ skill players.
How Boston Can Win:
Keep spreading the ball out. Tatum and Brown will score when they need to but continued to feed the hot hands like Al Horford. Being team-oriented and moving the ball quickly on offense will keep the Bucks on their heels and exhaust them. Doing this last game was one of the main reasons why they choked the fourth quarter lead last game: They were tired.
