Game one of this series produced 15 goals and over the last two games, the scoring has slowed down a bit. The Battle of Alberta hasn’t disappointed at all however and these two teams clearly don’t like each other. It has been a testy, physical series and game four is a pivotal matchup that should play huge in the outcome of the series. For Calgary, they don’t want to head back home on the brink of elimination and the Oilers surely want to make a statement and take both in their building. Connor McDavid has been awesome for Edmonton and will need to have another strong game if he and the Oilers want to take a commanding series lead. The Flames have all sorts of offensive weapons that can generate scoring chances and they need to get back to their attack from the regular season. Can the Oilers send Calgary to the brink? Or will the Flames burn some oil and ignite their offense?
How Calgary can win: The Flames just need to get back to their basics and play their game. Edmonton has been the more physical team thus far this series and that needs to change. They have allowed single players to beat them in the last two games so if Calgary can hone their defense together, they could have a shot at winning game four. The offensive attack from the Flames has been strong all season so getting back to that system is something that the Flames badly need to do.
How Edmonton can win: Credit to the Oilers for somewhat shutting down the Flames offensive attack. Yes, game one was a shootout but other than that, Edmonton has controlled the games and now leads the series. Goaltender Mike Smith has been impressive and is showing his veteran presence. This game is huge for the Oilers because if they can take a three games to one lead over Calgary, they’d have to like their chances. Going back on the road tied is something that Edmonton wants no part of.

Final Prediction: Flames 3 Oilers 2
-I think Calgary bounces back and ties the series up. They showed some energy in the third period of game three despite the game being pretty much out of reach. I believe that they adjust their gameplan a little and send this series back to Calgary all tied at two games apiece.
