The Washington Wizards will complete their road back-to-back in Philadelphia against the 76ers on Wednesday. The Wizards are trying to recover from a disappointing 112-98 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday. Washington dropped to 23-27 and they sit at No. 12 in the Eastern Conference standings.
For the Philadelphia 76ers, they are riding high as the second-best team in the conference behind the Chicago Bulls. The 76ers are on a five-game winning streak since Jan. 23. They outlasted the Memphis Grizzlies in an overtime thriller at home, Monday.

When a 14-point loss is shown in the box score, it does not seem to be a competitive game. Tuesday’s 14-point loss to the Bucks was competitive but the Wizards could not close out the Bucks. The Wizards trailed by as many as 17 points to the Bucks and they were able to mount a comeback in the fourth quarter. They were within striking distance of a comeback win, but their defense failed them at the end. To beat the 76ers, the Wizards will need to avoid trailing by nearly 20 points, as well as finishing the game strong.

The 76ers hope to put up as many points as they did against the Grizzlies on Monday. In the 122-119 win, Tobias Harris led the team in scoring with 31 points. He carried the load without center Joel Embiid. He is expected to play on Wednesday after he sat out the game against the Grizzlies to rest. Embiid will be a factor in this game. Expect Montrezl Harrell and other Washington defenders to scheme around Embiid to stop him. If Embiid and Harris are clicking, they will make it hard for the Wizards to get a road win.
