The San Antonio Spurs will make a trip to face the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland at 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday. On five days rest, the Spurs will look to string together a two-game winning streak. They are the 13th seed in the Western Conference with a 20-34 record. The Spurs won their last game on Friday, 131-106, against the Houston Rockets.

The Cavaliers are on a two-game winning streak with wins against the Charlotte Hornets and Indiana Pacers in the last week. With a 33-21 record, the Cavaliers sit at the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers are 17-9 at home this season.

How The San Antonio Spurs Can Win:

Guard Dejounte Murray was selected to the NBA All-Star Game as a late replacement on Monday. Murray is averaging 19.6 points, 9.2 assists, and 8.4 rebounds in the 2021-2022 season. In order to beat the Cavaliers, they will need Murray to play a well-rounded brand of basketball. If he is able to produce to his averages, then the Spurs will be able to remain competitive.

How The Cleveland Cavaliers Can Win:

The Cavaliers have been one of the biggest surprises of the season. Darius Garland is a first-time All-Star, while Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen will compete alongside Garland in the Skills Competition. The Cavaliers are a threat to every team in the Eastern Conference because they are a combination of young players and experienced veterans like Kevin Love and Rajon Rondo. The Cavaliers’ depth could prove to be too much for the Spurs to deal with on Wednesday night.
